26 Miles to Make Birth Better

Let's stride together towards a future where every birth is better.

Will you lace up your walking shoes and join us for "26 Miles to Make Birth Better"? We’d love you to join us.

Every step we take in our 26-mile trek echoes the journey of countless parents navigating the traumatic challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.

Ways to get involved

  1. Join “The Kent Event” Sunday 22nd September 2024: Join Nikki, our CEO, in her hometown of Tonbridge, Kent. We are entering a Make Birth Better team into her local walking marathon event called “Walk Tonbridge”. It takes in the beautiful countryside, scenic parks and pretty villages surrounding Tonbridge. Contact us here to enter the event (note: it costs £30) and we will send you a MBB walking marathon t-shirt! More info about the event, terrain and route is saved here.

  2. Do It Yourself Option: Whilst we’d love people to come to Tonbridge for an in-person experience, we know that won’t be workable for everyone. If you’d like to create your own 26 mile challenge walking around your local sites and scenery, then contact us here and we’ll help you make your plan. You will get a t-shirt too!

Fundraise for us

We are asking everyone who takes part in “26 Miles to Make Birth Better” to try their best to fundraise £500 for our work. Once you’re in touch with our team we will walk you through how to set up a fundraising page.

I was nervous about walking 26 miles. I didn’t think my hips and knees would be able to handle it. But I did it and it was worth every moment. Such an incredible day!
